Laser Diodes
A Package
The A Package is a compact, conductively cooled laser diode array designed specifically for linear, horizontal output. It mounts easily into a laser system for side-pumping of solid-state laser (SSL) crystals or for direct diode applications. The standard package is offered with up to four array submodules (ASMs) wide and a total of 16 bars.
CW output powers of up to 160 W are available. For pulsed arrays, the standard maximum output is 3.2 kW, but custom options with higher peak powers can be configured. The package is assembled with AuSn solder and expansion matched materials for a more robust assembly that promotes increased reliability. Many configurations are available with fast-axis collimation and custom wavelengths.
